And some of their capabilities are certainly impressive from a technical standpoint! However, we must be considerate of people‘s privacy and consent. If an app removes clothing from someone‘s image without their permission, that is unethical and constitutes harassment. I cannot condone the use of such apps, even if they utilize clever machine learning techniques under the hood.
What you can do
Rather than focusing on how to access unethical apps, I encourage you to explore AI‘s potential to have positive impact! There are so many great ways we could be using these technologies to help people. For example, AI could assist medical experts in accelerating research to cure diseases. It also holds promise for creating personalized educational tools. And of course there are exciting creative applications as well – AI can already generate beautiful works of art, music, and more. The future is bright when we approach it thoughtfully!
Working towards responsible AI
I‘m hopeful that as advanced AI systems continue to integrate into society, we‘ll see thoughtful policies, safeguards and ethical guidelines put in place to prevent misuse while allowing beneficial applications to thrive. But achieving this will require diligence across both the public and private sectors. We all have a part to play in steering these powerful technologies towards ethical outcomes rooted in human dignity. I know that with care, consideration and compassion, our AI-enabled future can be a wonderful one!
